Rudy Green Graveside services: 7 p.m. Saturday, Eliza Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, Ill. Rudy E. Green, 55, rural New Boston, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at his home. Military rites will be conducted by Eliza American Legion Post 1971. Memorials may be made to the Rudy Green Benefit or Eliza Volunteer Fire Department established at the funeral home. Mr. Green was born Jan. 11, 1951, in Aledo, the son of Donald Dean and Ivetta Janeen Saunders Green. After Janeen's death, he was raised by Donald Dean and Kathryn Smith Green. He married Lee Ann Seefeld on Feb. 5, 1971, in Perryton, Ill. He graduated from Westmer High School in 1969. He farmed in the Eliza Bay Island area until 1985 and was then employed as an ag operator at Bayhill Fertilizer Co., now Crop Production Services. He was a member of several antique tractor clubs and he enjoyed restoring John Deere tractors and fishing. He could always be found in his shed passing the time with family and friends. reen and wife Jenny of New Boston; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Blain and Bailey Ortega, Zoey and Tessa Miller, Kristin, Dalton, Macoy and Lane Green; three sisters, Hollie Kensinger and husband Mike of Andalusia, Ill., Pam Willits and husband Tom of New Boston and Jacque Starkweather and husband Doug of Indiana; and a brother, Doug Ramer and wife Suzanne of New Boston. He was preceded in death by parents, Dean, Janeen and Kathryn.
