Rudy Green Graveside services: 7 p.m. Saturday, Eliza Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, Ill. Rudy E. Green, 55, rural New Boston, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at his home. Military rites will be conducted by Eliza American Legion Post 1971. Memorials may be made to the Rudy Green Benefit or Eliza Volunteer Fire Department established at the funeral home. Mr. Green was born Jan. 11, 1951, in Aledo, the son of Donald Dean and Ivetta Janeen Saunders Green. After Janeen's death, he was raised by Donald Dean and Kathryn Smith Green. He married Lee Ann Seefeld on Feb. 5, 1971, in Perryton, Ill. He graduated from Westmer High School in 1969. He farmed in the Eliza Bay Island area until 1985 and was then employed as an ag operator at Bayhill Fertilizer Co., now Crop Production Services. He was a member of several antique tractor clubs and he enjoyed restoring John Deere tractors and fishing. He could always be found in his shed passing the time with family and friends.
