Annette Martinez Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, Gay amp; Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. today, funeral home. Annette Martinez, 50, North Liberty, died Monday, July 17, 2006, at Mercy Hospital. She had been under Hospice Care since suffering a stroke on June 24. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Annette Martinez Family Trust for the benefit of her children. Mrs. Martinez was born Dec. 14, 1955, the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Baker of West Branch. She married Heriberto Martinez on March 22, 1986, in West Liberty. She attended school in West Liberty graduating in 1975. She was employed for many years at Lewis Rich Co., West Liberty. She became a homemaker after the birth of her children, moving to North Liberty in 1993. She and the family attended Hope Evangelical Church, North Liberty. She and her children looked forward to annual vacations in Mexico to visit members of her husband's family. She was a big hearted person and enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed collecting candles.
