Charlie loved to sing in the church choir, play golf, read good novels, cook, and cruise the Long Island Sound on the "Gumbo". Charlie made everyone feel at home and his famous advice to the teenagers in his house is still repeated today "Be Careful, Nothing stupid, and Don't go anywhere you don't want your body found". Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Mac and Stella Aylin, Bay Minette Alabama, his brother, William (Bill) Aylin, and his beloved wife, Louise. Charlie is survived by his children Edward MacDonald (Mac) and Tina Aylin, Cumming Georgia, and Martha (Aylin) and Terry Nonnemacher, Littleton Colorado. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Jeffrey Nonnemacher (23), Andrew Nonnemacher (21) and Jessica Aylin (17). Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or American Heart Association in his name. Services will be announced at a later date.
