Virginia Ann Semsch Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, the funeral home. Virginia Ann "Gina" Semsch, 84, Durant, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus Davenport. The Rev. Nancy Hoelter will officiate services. Musical selections will be provided by organist Deb Mohr and vocalist Henry Bentley. Honorary casket bearers are Harlan Schult, Marlan Schreck, Don Walters, Leon Makoben, and Artie Royal. Casket bearers are Jared Semsch, Eric Semsch, Andy Wall, Aaron Thoma, Austin Williams, Ashley Larion. Burial will be at the Durant Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Durant Ambulance in her memory. Virginia Mays Semsch was born April 11, 1922, to Cecil J. and Ellen Johnson Mays in Durant. She married Carl W. Semsch on Sept. 5, 1942, in Wilton. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1990. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo and embroidery. Above all she loved her family and the time she spent with them. Durant, Jay and his wife Jean, Semsch, of Stockton, Gary and his wife, Sherry, Semsch of Maumelle, Ark., and James "George" and his wife, Kim, Semsch of Wilton; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Gerald C. Semsch, her grandson Jason Jennings and her brothers Wallace and Jerry Mays.
