James "Jim" Edward Bailey, 78, Fort Madison, formerly of West Liberty, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at his home. The Rev. Dennis Martin will officiate. His body was cremated. King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the West Liberty Community Center in care of Loretta Bailey, 3316 Avenue J, Fort Madison, IA 52627. Mr. Bailey was born Sept. 12, 1927, in West Liberty, the son of Arthur and Lulu Sendt Bailey. He married Loretta Griffin Walsinger on March 21, 1998, in Fort Madison. He raised cattle and sheep and owned and operated Bailey's Seed and Produce, West Liberty. Most recently, he was the food buyer for Hillside Inn, Fort Madison. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Jeff Walsinger and wife Jackie of Fort Madison; two stepdaughters, Debra Goodson and special friend Robert Brown of Willow Park, Texas and Beth Rippenkroeger and husband Biff of Fort Madison; three stepgrandchildren; a sister, Jacqueline Elliott of Wisconsin; a brother, Tom Bailey of West Liberty; three niece...[more]
