EDWARD WARE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Edward Wallace Ware, 67, of Muscatine, died suddenly Wednesday, August 16, 2006. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Amy Johnson of the Spangler Chapel will officiate the service. Honorary casket bearers will be Lewis Terrill, Homer Snyder, Carl Albers, Mike Fridley, Joe Manjoine, Larry Terrill, Duane Timmons, Jim Barkema, and John Baker. Casket bearers will be Ron Oostendorp, John Robinson, Bob Sharar, Jim Harder, Larry Lemkau, and Marty Radtke. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Fellowship United Methodist Church, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the Edward Ware Scholarship Fund at Muscatine High School. Ed was born on January 23, 1939, in Muscatine, the son of James and Melva Faulhaber Ware. He married Deanna D. Azeltine on December 23, 1962, in Rowan, Iowa. State University in 1971. He taught for 36 years, the last 30 years with the Muscatine School System, retiring as a math teacher from West Middle School in 1997. Ed served on the Muscatine High School Hall of Honor Committee. He was inducted into Muscatine High School Hall of Honor in 1998. He grew-up on the river where he loved to fish, he also enjoyed hunting, and camping with his family and friends. Ed loved sharing his knowledge of wildlife with his grandchildren and students. He was a member of the Spangler Chapel, the Retired National Education Association and the Iowa Education Association. Survivors include his wife, Deanna Ware of Muscatine; two daughters, Susan M. Terrill and husband, Matt, of Galesburg, Illinois, and Andrea K. Albers and husband, Tim, of Carmel, Indiana; four grandchildren, Maggie R. Terrill, Elizabeth M. Terrill, Andrew E. Albers, and Emily J. Albers; one brother, Richard J. Ware and wife, Betty, of LaGrange Park, Illinois; and one sister, Judy Evans of LaGrange Park, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
