MARY HOPKINS GRANDVIEW, Iowa - Mary Virginia Hopkins, 86, of Grandview, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at the St. Mathias Church. The Reverend Jason Crossen will officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Mary was born on December 20, 1919, in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Katherine Bjorski Shelangoski. She married John "Jerry" Hopkins on July 31, 1938, in Muscatine. She was a member of the Catholic Church. The Alter and Rosary Society, VFW Auxiliary, and the Rock and Gem Society.
