Blanche Stout WEST BRANCH, Iowa -- Blanche Ella Stout, 94, West Branch, formerly of Tipton, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at Crestview Care and Rehab Center, West Branch. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, 201 Pedersen St., West Branch. The Rev. Scot Patrick will officiate. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Mrs. Stout was born Nov. 14, 1912, in Cedar County, the daughter of Frank and Mary Ruzek Brick Cihla. She married Gerald Stout on Nov. 26, 1930, in Iowa City. He preceded her in death in 2005. She and her husband farmed in Cedar County their entire lives. She was a homemaker, loved to garden and did lots of canning. In her spare time she liked to crochet and do crafts. She was a member of the St. Joseph Guild for many years. She had worked at Crestview Care Center and Sky King Restaurant. of Muscatine, Lyle Stout and wife Jan, Wayne Stout and wife Bev and Gary Stout, all of West Branch; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Elizabeth Murphy and Rose Skriver; four brothers, Francis Cihla, John Cihla, Joseph Cihla and Kenneth Cihla; and a great-grandson, Brad Jennings.
