Visitation: 2:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Morning Sun.Family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m. MORNING SUN, Iowa --Arvie Wallace Connolly, 62, of rural Morning Sun, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. The Rev. Sue-Ellen Sherman will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Wapello Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the benefit of the Morning Sun Community Ambulance Service, the United Methodist Church at Morning Sun and the Morning Sun 4th of July fund. Mr. Connolly was born June 10, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Wallace W. and Selma Eunice Coppes Connolly. He married Deanna Sue Kellogg May 10, 1975, in Kahoka, Mo. He graduated from Wapello High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Army, primarily in Germany, during the mid 1960s. He was a truck driver for the Louisa County road crew and enjoyed junking on the side. He also enjoyed antique tractors along with the Old Threshers and the state fair. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Rita and Rick Sparrow of Winfield and Karrie and Mark Truitt of Wapello; a son, Kevin Connolly, at home; a grandson, Doug Egbert, of Winfield; three sisters, Neva Schofield of Morning Sun, Judy and Richard Robertson of Wapello and Shirley and Larry Bickford of Wapello; and a brother, James and Judy Connolly of Wapello. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister.
