many during the Korean War. He worked for the Highway Department where he tested the tread wear of tires. In 1960, Roy J. Carver invited him to join Bandag as the Plant II manager. He was employed at Bandag for 35 years. He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ. After his retirement, he enjoyed walking three miles every day, collecting antique model cars and taking care of his home on Saulsbury Road. Survivors include a son, John R. Bertotti and wife, Reesa, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a daughter, Amy Bertotti-Kingery and husband, Scott, of Muscatine; and four grandsons, Morgan Simons, Keaton Simons, Austin Bertotti-Kingery and Connor Nathan Min Bertotti. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Norma Bertotti Cinotto.
