LUCILLE STOLLEY MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lucille B. Stolley, 90, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Carrington Place. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Faith United Church of Christ, 3307 Mulberry Avenue. Reverend Teressa Clark will officiate the service. Casketbearers will be Brian Stolley, Ben Reifert, Daniel Behrens, Bob Vargus, Bill Krider, and Daryl Sywassink. A private committal service will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will follow the service at the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. Lucille was born on October 23, 1916, in Muscatine the daughter of Henry and Anna Lange Heussner. She married Howard W. Stolley on July 2, 1947, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1991. Lucille worked for the Klein, Olson, and Sywassink doctors' office, and later worked for Evans Card and Gift Shop, which became Nora's Ark. She was a Charter member of the Faith United Church of Christ, Harmony Guild, and Jonco Jills Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America in Iowa City. ...[more]

e was also a life member of the Unity Hospital Auxiliary, Women of the Moose No. 447, and AARP #2097. Lucille was the first volunteer for the W.I.C. (Women, Infant, and Children) Clinic, and spent many long hours helping prepare the educational information. Those left to honor her memory include one son, John H. Stolley and wife, Nancy, of Muscatine; one daughter, Deborah A. Wainscott of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Sara M. Stolley of Davenport, and Brian J. Stolley of Omaha, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Elsie Swanson of Muscatine. She is also survived by her Godchildren, Ann Reifert of Muscatine, Daniel Behrens of Pleasant Valley, and Ben Reifert of Wilton. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Eva M. Kramer, and one son-in-law, Lee Marlin Wainscot.
