DONNELLSON, Iowa - Effie Ina Johnson, 100, of the Donnellson Health Center, formerly of Argyle, died Friday, April 27, 2007, at the Donnellson Health Center. The Rev. Barb Krueger will officiate. Burial will be at Embury Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Embury United Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson was born March 9, 1907, in Cordell, Okla., the daughter of Jessie Donald and Mary Ada Dowdy Cone. She married James ''Cotton'' Johnson on April 28, 1928, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He preceded her in death. She was a 1925 graduate of Cordell High School. She was a member of Embury United Methodist Church, the W.S.C.S of the church and was a 4-H leader. She enjoyed gardening, music, traveling, reading and her church. She was an avid Phoenix Suns fan. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Gwynn Keller and husband Ron of Donnellson and Sharon Lee Stockton and husband Carl Allen of Mesa, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eig...[more]

great-great grandchildren; a brother, J.D. Cone of Odessa, Texas; a sister, Geraldine Gerlock of Cordell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Mark Keller; and seven siblings.
