Gilbert ''Ted'' Brugman

Gilbert 'Ted' Brugman MEEKER, Okla. - Gilbert ''Ted'' Brugman, 89, Meeker, died April 29, 2007, at his home. Services were held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Shawnee, Okla. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Brugman was born May 11, 1917, in Lone Tree, the son of John and Bernadine (TeVort) Brugman. He married Anna Marie Shetler on Sept. 9, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Muscatine. He was the youngest of 10 children and attended school in Lone Tree. He retired from Borg-Warner in 1969. He and his wife moved from Roscoe, Ill. to Meeker in 1997. He was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James of Rockford, Ill. and Daniel and wife Gail of Roscoe; a daughter, JoAnn Craig of Meeker; grandchildren, Jim, Patrick, Jolene, Jason, Joseph and Jodi; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters. [more]
