LOUIS GRAY Funeral Service will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2007, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2007, at the funeral home. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Louis Earl Gray, 103, of Muscatine, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Muscatine Care Center. Dr. Hal Green of the Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate. Honorary Casketbearers will be his granddaughters Laurie Griffin and Katie Igler. Casketbearers will be his grandsons Gary Gray, Steven Gray, David Gray, Daniel Gray, Mark Gray and Ken Weggen. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Louis was born on November 6, 1903, in Marietta, Illinois, the son of Oscar and Jemima Belle Murfin Gray. He married Bessie Elizabeth Cochran on June 23, 1928, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death in 2004. Louis worked for 14 years as a bailiff for the Muscatine District Court, retiring in 1977. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge # 388 and the Odd Fellows.
