LOIS ADAMS JOY, Illinois #45;- Lois L. Adams, 81, of Joy, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island. Per her wishes, there are no services. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Aledo assisted the family. Mrs. Adams was born on July 27, 1925, in Mannon, Illinois, the daughter of George Diehl and Mary Scott Diehl. She married Ira Adams on September 19, 1946, in Aledo, Illinois. She loved to make quilts, do needle work and gardening. She was employed by the former Glove Factory and Fortner Nursing Home, both in Aledo. She farmed with her husband from 1946 to 1975. Survivors include her husband, Iea Adams of Joy, Illinois; a son, Gary Ira Adams of New Boston, Illinois; a daughter, Elaine Anderson and her husband, Cliff, of Joy, Illinois; a grandson, Cliff Anderson Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, of Alexis, Illinois; a granddaughter, Mary Adams and her friend, Mark Slusser, of Sherrard, Illinois; a great-granddaughter, Kira Nicole Anderson of Alexis, Illinois; a brother, Elmo Diehl and his wife, Ella Marie, of Aledo, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Nora Diehl and Jean Diehl, of Aledo, Illinois and Juanita Miller of Muscatine, Iowa...[more]
