Anita Ide Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28, Gresham Memorial Chapel, Gresham, Ore. Visitation: 9 a.m.-8 p.m. today, June 27, chapel. GRESHAM, Ore. -- Anita Mae Ide, 87, died Friday, June 22, 2007. A private family graveside service will be at Forrest Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Ide was born July 17, 1919, in Muscatine, the daughter of Cleveland and Vercie (Hooton) Nickle. She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1938. After graduation, she met Albert Ide and moved from Iowa to Oregon in 1943. They were married Feb. 14, 1944, in Camas, Wash. He died in 1995. She and her husband purchased Coast to Coast Hardware in Gresham in October 1957. They retired in 1971 and spent winters in Tucson, Ariz. from 1978 until her husband passed away. Family was most important in her life. Until 1968, she would take the train and visit family in Iowa every two years. The family took two-week-long driving vacations seeing everything from Mt. She is survived by her son, Albert Ide, Jr., of Portland; two daughters, Therese Burkholder of Tulare, Calif. and Elise Ide of Boring, Ore.; two sisters, Irma Hunter of Sacramento, Calif. and Tudie Pardie of Wapello; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a sister, Verna Hilderbran.
