HOWARD SHELDON NEELD MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Howard Sheldon 'Sheldy' Neeld, 87, of Eliza, Illinois, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Unity Hospital. Memorial Service will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Betsy Lee of Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate the service. Family will meet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Pattie Elliott. 'Sheldy' was born on December 27, 1919, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Harry S. and Adelaide Peterson Neeld. He married Gerie E. Keating on September 6, 1946, in Muscatine. She preceded in death in 1999. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II in the European Theater. He was a farmer all his life. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 304, the Geneva Golf and Country Club and the Trinity Episcopal Church. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
