DURANT, Iowa -- Edna Laverna Holling, 100, of Durant, died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Internment will be at the Durant Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Durant Ambulance Service. Mrs. Holling was born March 16, 1907, to William and Mary (Behrens) Wulf in Scott County. She married Ralph R. Holling Oct. 1, 1938, in Davenport. He died May 4, 2005. She was educated in rural Scott County schools and attended Brown's Business College. She worked for Kresge's in Davenport and at Wulf's Garage in New Liberty as a bookkeeper. She later worked for Jeff's Market in Durant. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, Stockton Camp and she and her husband enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing bingo and fishing. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Faerus Holling; her sisters, Frieda Syring, Ella LaMaack and Amanda Sebelien; and her brothers, Charley, Henry, William and Arnold Wulf.
