When Dick and Myra made their winter home in Florida, Dick and best friends, Jackie and Bill Trombly would search for "treasures" at the many flea markets and antique stores, Bill with razors and Dick with Aladdin lamps. They also enjoyed playing the marble game trying to beat the wives, but not often winning. Survivors include his wife, Myra; two sons, Jeffrey (Leanne) Weeks of Houghton and Michael (Shelly Jacobetti) Weeks of Mosinee, WI; four grandchildren, Aila Weeks, Sofia Weeks, Jaiden Weeks and Jamison Weeks; four siblings, David (Val) Weeks of Green Valley, AZ, Jerrold (Maxine) Weeks of Marquette, Marjory (Paul) Koenig of Clare, MI, Mary (Dennis) Powelson of Ashley, MI; also many nieces and nephews. Preceding Dick in death besides his parents were three brothers-in-law, Raymond, Maurice and Alan Morrissette. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Dick's life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 17 at 11 a.m. in St. Louis the King Catholic Church with the Rev. Glenn Theoret officiating. The Weeks family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Members of Bishop Baraga the Snowshoe Priest Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will serve as honor guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Knights of Columbus Council # 6447, 264 Silver Creek Rd., Marquette, MI 49855 or to St. Louis the King Catholic Church, 264 Silver Creek Rd., Marquette, MI 49855 in Dick's memory. The Weeks family would like to thank the many people who sent cards, Masses and many prayers while Dick was in the hospital. This was a great comfort to the family.
