Frank A. Heard

Frank A. Heard, age 78, passed away at home on July 2, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of the Shady Grove community in Cumming, Georgia, and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Green Heard and parents, Clarence and Letha Shadburn Heard. He is survived by his children, Joey Heard, David Heard, Nancy Heard and Robert (Heather) Heard. Throughout his lifetime, Frank earned a living as a life insurance salesman, a convenience store owner, and an egg farmer (to name a few). For many years he worked as a building contractor, leaving his mark on countless homes and families in the community. Frank worked with the singular purpose of taking care of his children and grandchildren. Pop Frank loved his grandchildren to a fault. He never said "no" to the "grandbabies". He was so proud to be blessed with eight grandchildren. These include Chelsie, Sarah, Elizabeth, Abigail and Henry Heard, Presley, Camryn and Jackson Skinner. A great-granddaughter, Lillian Kate Wilbanks was the sparkle in his eye. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Pete Martin and Rev. Jerry Frazier will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sawnee View Gardens. Rev. Sorrells will preside at the graveside service. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia in charge of arrangements.
