Paul Forbes Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Lone Tree. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, funeral home. IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Paul Keith Forbes, 52, of Iowa City, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following an extended illness. Russ Forbes will officiate. Casketbearers will be Kevin Westfall, Tim Bell, Nick Schmitt, Kenny Fobian, Brad Smothers and Denny Forbes. Honorary casketbearers will be Chuck Johnston, Ron Cerny, Curt Parizek, Kevin Bell, Lyle Jenks, Doug Phillips, Tom Christiansen, Ken Wright and Tim Smith. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be at the Lone Tree American Legion. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Forbes was born March 2, 1955, in Iowa City, the son of Keith and Ruth E. (Burr) Forbes. He was a graduate of Lone Tree High School. He married Lori Westfall July 21, 1973, in Iowa City. missed by his son, Todd A. Forbes and his wife, Shelly, of Riverside; two daughters, Michelle D. Daufeldt and her husband, Matt, of West Liberty and Nicole B. Forbes of West Liberty; five grandchildren, Hailey, Spencer, Macy, Tanner and Taylor; his parents; a brother, Kevin Forbes and his wife, Lisa; and a sister, Gwen Schmitt and her husband, Gary, of Nichols. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
