Dillaplain, 84, of Muscatine, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Genesis Medical Center West Campus in Davenport. The Rev. Tom Zeleny will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Warren Weber, Keith Feuerbach, Jon Honts, Kevin Davis and Scott Morel. Internment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Iowa Blue Lodge will conduct a Masonic service at noon Thursday, Oct. 11. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Iowa Blue Lodge 2. Mr. Dillaplain was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Fairview, Kan., the son of Porter and Caroline (Hallauer) Dillaplain. He married Beverly Schneider Oct. 10, 1948, in Wilton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He worked for 30 years as a supervisor of transmission and distribution at Muscatine Power and Water. fishing and hunting and most of all, spending time with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife; his daughter, Rita Peterson and her husband, Terry, of Muscatine; his granddaughter, Michelle Barham and her husband, Kelly, of Fairhope, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Madison Craig and Canon Barham; and a sister, Lola Rogers of Lawrence, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Darwin Rogers.
