bbies including baking, cooking, gardening, collecting antiques, playing in numerous bridge clubs, golfing with her buddies, knitting and cross stitch. During her retirement years, she and her husband enjoyed their winter months together in New Braunfels, Texas, with their large extended group of friends. In the summer months, they made their home in Iowa City. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Karen (Ronald) Wedekind of Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Gary (Zeena Janowsky) of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Jason Wedekind of Chapel Hill, N.C., Susan (Mark) Hines of Holly Springs, N.C., Graham Blackman of San Clemente, Calif., and Emily Blackman of San Francisco, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a grandchild. Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine.
