KATHERINE MCFADDEN Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2007, at St. Mary Church. Visitation will be from 3 to 7: p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Ralph J. Wittich Riley Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street, with a 7:00 p.m. rosary service lead by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Katherine E. 'Katie' McFadden, 75, of Muscatine, died Sunday, December 23 2007, at Unity Hospital. The Reverend Jason Crossen of Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Robert McFadden Jr., Randy McFadden, Ron McFadden, Rodney McFadden, Curt Conway, and Kyle McFadden. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the Rendezvous. Memorials may be made to Catholic Daughters of America Scholarship Fund. Katie was born on August 9, 1932, in Muscatine, the daughter of Walter and Emma McSwiggin Newton. She married Robert McFadden on September 23, 1953, at St. Mathias Church in Muscatine. e years. Katie returned to Muscatine in 1957. She was first employed at Thatcher Glass and then at Louis Rich until she retired in 1990. She was a member of St. Mathias Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Joan of Arc #524. Katie volunteered her time at Unity Hospital, Meals on Wheels and many other charitable functions. Katie enjoyed to cook, travel, was an avid Hawkeye fan and loved her family dearly. She will be deeply missed by her family. Survivors include her husband, Robert McFadden Sr. of Muscatine; four sons, Robert McFadden Jr. and wife Dixie of Muscatine, Randy McFadden and wife Maureen of Cedar Park, Texas, Ron McFadden and wife Marie of Alburnett, and Rodney McFadden and wife Audrey of Decatur, Georgia; one daughter, Mary Jo Conway and husband Burt of Bollingbrook, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Newton of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Marietta Linton of Kennesaw, Georgia; and a special niece, Susan Levetzow and husband Marvin of Dodgeville, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pat Linder.
