y Truman. He enjoyed his family and dedicated his time to his grandchildren and outdoor activities at his Cedar River cottage. He also enjoyed camping, spending winters in Texas with friends and traveling through the mountains of Colorado. He was employed at Alcoa for 17 years and later at Heinz for 19 years as a supervisor in quality control. He will be deeply missed by his wife; a son, Kevin W. Lucas of Muscatine; a daughter, Teresa L. Smith and her husband, Charles, of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Timothy L. Smith and Whitney S. Smith, both of Muscatine; a great-granddaughter, Mercedes Smith; and four sisters, Mary L. Summitt of Loveland Colo., Doris I. Onken and her husband, Gene, of New Boston and Esther L. Hessel and her husband, Bud, and Sandra M. Warner, all of Thornton, Colo.. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Leslie C. Lucas and Steven W. Lucas; two brothers, Clyde W. Lucas and Cecil J. Lucas; and three sisters, Laura Brossart, Osceola B. McKay and Beulah J. Bird.
