MAXINE DEVORE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Maxine DeVore, 82, of Muscatine, died Friday, February 8, 2008, at Unity Hospital. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Dr. Hal Green of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Eric White, Jason Ortiz, Donnie Kallenberger, and Brett DeVore. Burial will be in Overman Cemetery, Atalissa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church. Maxine was born on July 1, 1925, in Muscatine County, the daughter of Floyd and Helen Simpson Davis. She married Carroll DeVore on November 25, 1945, in Muscatine. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed flowers and her garden. She worked side by side with her husband on the farm.
