Juergen Knoop Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Branch. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at the funeral home. IOWA CITY, Iowa - Juergen W. Knoop, 75, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The Rev. Marty Jacobsen will officiate. A memorial fund has been established. Mr. Knoop was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Germany, the son of Henrick and Irma Schweinn Knoop. He came to the United States in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army. He married Patricia Driscoll on April 25, 1959, in Tipton. He was employed with the University of Iowa for 34 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW and American Legion in Iowa City. He is survived by his wife; eight children, Dennis Knoop of Iowa City, Jeff (Cindy) Knoop of West Branch, Scott (Ann) Knoop of Iowa City, Debbie (Wayne) Lynch of West Branch, Bobby (Kathy) Knoop of West Branch, Kim (Mark) Colvin of West Branch, Randy (Roxie) Knoop of Hutto, Texas, and Heidi Knoop of West Branch; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Zach, Cassie, Samantha, Madison, Mallory, Abby, Mitchell and Brady; and three siblings, Klaus (Susan) Knoop ...[more]
