HELEN MORRISSEY Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at St. Mathias Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Helen G. Morrissey, 91, of Muscatine, died Friday, February 15, 2008, at her home. The Reverend Jason Crossen of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. Honorary casket bearers will be Melissa Morrissey and Nikki Elder. Casket bearers will be Thomas Morrissey, Brian Morrissey, Christopher Elder, Jason Swafford, John Honeyman, Jim Honeyman, and Jack Wessel. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish. Helen was born on August 22, 1916, in Muscatine, the daughter of Bernard and Anna Noll Korte. She married Richard Morrissey on June 15, 1946 at the St. Mathias Church in Muscatine. He preceded her in death in 1993. ild. She enjoyed crossword puzzles. Helen is survived by her two sons, Michael Richard Morrissey, and wife Becky of Wilton and Joseph Bernard Morrissey of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
