ROSALIE REISCHAUER Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 302 North Center Street, Zearing, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Rosalie Reischauer, 60, of Muscatine, died Friday, February 22, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The Reverend Rick Dagit will officiate the service. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, in Zearing, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be directed towards St. Jude Children Hospital. Rosalie was born on July 30, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Eleanora Mizener Fitzgerald. She married Bennett Reischauer on November 11, 1967, in St. Anthony, Iowa. She was a hearing impaired interpreter for the Muscatine School System for many years. She was a member of the Friends of Musser Public Library, Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish, Sit and Sew Quilt Group, and the Melon Patchers Quilt Guild. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her newest grandson and was busy planning new baby quilts in anticipation of his appearance. Survivors include her husband, Bennett Reischauer of Muscatine; one son, Craig F. Reischauer and wife, Jane, of Muscatine; two daughters, Danielle Gasper and husband, Tim, of Bettendorf, and Regina Reinier and husband, Jeremy, of Ankeny; her grandchildren, Ethan, Liam, and Keegan Reinier and Olivia, Grace and Andrew Gasper; her mother, Eleanora Fitzgerald of Zearing; one sister, Pat Anderson and husband, Dennis, of Zearing; and many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father.
