asking Jesus Christ into his life as his Lord and Savior, he enjoyed sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others. He was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church at Wapello. He was active in church and politics. He was of the Masonic Order. He is survived by three children, Virgil Brother ThomasĀ Corey, Jr. of Jersey City, New Jersey, the Rev. Carolyn Corey of Detroit, Michigan, and John and Nancy Corey of Morning Sun; six grandchildren, Pam Calloway, Jennifer Brost, Sara Whitlock, Stephanie Gilbert, Marc Corey, and Matthew Corey; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Jones of Wapello and Eloise Campbell of Exline; four nephews; and five nieces. He was preceded in death by is parents; his wife, Elsie; a son, Dean and his wife Sue; and two brothers, Dean and Cecil Elmer.
