Army Reserves for six years. He worked at International Harvester in Rock Island for 35 years and then for Central State Bank for 20 years. He was a past member of the Moose of Muscatine. He was the secretary for the bowling board for 28 ½ years and secretary of bowling leagues for 50 years. He coached Little League baseball for eight years and youth bowling for 35 years. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren's sporting events. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, a great father and grandfather, brother and friend who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Mills of Muscatine; his children, Bruce Mills of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Connie Clemens and husband, Mike, of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Amber Clemens, Amanda Clemens, Ashley Clemens, Rebecca Mills and Matthew Mills; and his sister, Betty Doty of Forest Park, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Richard; a brother-in-law, Robert Doty; and two nephews, Dennis and Jim Mills.
