Beverly J. Crist TIPTON, Iowa - Beverly Jean Crist, 77, of Davenport, died on Monday, August 11, 2008, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. According to her wishes the rite of cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Inurnment will take place at the Durant Cemetery, Durant. The Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Durant Ambulance in her memory. Beverly was born September 22, 1930, to Oral and Hazel Mowry Williams in Albia, Iowa. She married Vere Red Crist on July 6, 1952, in Orient, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1985. She graduated from Orient-Maxberg High School and attended Cosmetology School in Des Moines. She retired from the Quad City Times/Lee Enterprises. After retiring she was employed at West Fair Drug in Durant, Iowa. She enjoyed traveling and visiting relatives.
