Vera Ann Simpson was born Aug 28, 1941 to Leon and Azzie Glover in Meridian, Mississippi she accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where she was a faithful member.
Vera graduated from Harris High School in Meridian and completed extended college class to receive an Educator Certificate as a teacher and she started her career at one of the first African American public school "Wechsler" as a teacher for grades K1-6.
June 1959 Vera married Henry D. Stringfellow and to that union three children were born Henry, Daryl, and Lynn. In 1970 Vera and her family moved to San Diego, CA where she started a new career as a CNA, she retired after her health began to fail due to muscular dystrophy. She was a member of Revival Christian Center. On Dec 24 1980 she married Robert Simpson. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, soul and strength. Vera was kind, respectful and love to have fun. She will be deeply missed by the ones that knew her.
