Thomas Raverty

Thomas Raverty, son of George and Marie Raverty, was born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota on November 3, 1939. He received his education in the Windom public school. On February 25, 1967, Tom was united in marriage to Janice Junker, in Mt. Lake, Minnesota. They made their home in Windom for 20 years. They then moved to Eagan, Minnesota, where he continued working for the Minnesota DOT until medical issues required him to retire. On Saturday, October 9, 2010, Tom passed away peacefully at home. Tom is survived by his wife, Jan, two sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cheryl Raverty of Farmington, MN and Heath Raverty of Eagan, MN; as well as his brothers, sisters, their spouses and a host of nieces and nephews. Tom loved his family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed people and though he will be missed by many, he is now free of illness. "Just think of stepping on shore--and finding it heaven!
