Irving J. Steinberg, 94 passed away on August 23rd. He is predeceased by Natalie, his wife of over 65 years. He leaves two daughters Paula Von Rosendahl (Ralph) and Randi Haim (Fred) and leaves 3 grandchildren Brienne Smith (Mike), Ariela Edel (Rafi), and Daniel Haim. He also leaves a great-granddaughter, Aviva Edel. Irv grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and then moved to Verona, NJ to raise his family. He then moved to Dallas, Texas. He served in the Navy during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines from 1944-1946. As a child, Irv had an interest in movie stars. In the 1940's he started taking celebrity photos of people in entertainment, science, sports and politics. Some of the people he photographed included 6 Presidents, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles and Jackie Kennedy. He had photos published in many books and publications like Life, Time, People and the Saturday Evening Post and plenty of movie magazines and newspapers. Irv and his wife Natalie owned a gift shop in West Orange, NJ called Natalie's Gifts as well. After moving to Dallas, Irv worked at Fitz and Floyd until his retirement.
