Dorothy Mae McKeever HOUSTON, Texas - Dorothy Mae Johnson McKeever passed away Monday, September 15, 2008, in Houston. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. She will lay to rest alongside her husband and son, Rick. A gathering for family and friends will be held after the service at the farm of Jack and JoAnn Broders, 1846 Iron City Avenue, Nichols, Iowa, 563-263-1024. Dorothy was born on February 21, 1933, in Atalissa, Iowa, the daughter of James and Orpha Johnson. She married Clinton McKeever on June 29, 1950. He died on July 24, 2004. During their 54 years of marriage, she and her husband lived in Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, Kansas and finally Texas, where they made many friends who still have them in their hearts. She liked pink everything. Her family would like any memorials to be living pink flowers, trees or shrubs, which they plan to plant in their favorite Iowa garden next to the river.
