Patsy Gish WAPELLO, Iowa - Patsy Lee Gish, 72, of Wapello, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, at the Wapello Nursing amp; Rehab Center. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2008, at the United Methodist Church at Oakville. Rev. Scott Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at the Parsons Cemetery, rural Wapello, Oakville. The family and friends will gather for a lunch and fellowship at the United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon on Sunday, October 26, 2008, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello, where family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the benefit of the United Methodist Church at Oakville and the Alzheimer's Association. Patsy was born on January 4, 1936, in Burlington, the daughter of Will C. and Geneva Carter Smith. She married David S. Gish on November 10, 1962, in Oakville. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2003. She was a graduate of Oakville High School in 1954. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of Oakville and the UMW. She is survived by three sons, Mike Gish and wife, Marla, of Rosedale, Indiana, Eric Gish and wife, Mary, of Wapello, and Matt Gish and wife, Tracy, of Wapello; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Will Smith and wife, Patricia, of West Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Leona; and her husband.
