A. Robert 'Bob' Maxwell DAVENPORT, Iowa - A. Robert Bob Maxwell, 87, Davenport, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Genesis West in Davenport following a brief illness. Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2008, at the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. 'Bob' was born April 30, 1921, in Davenport, the son of Arthur and Lora Jens Maxwell. He married Betty Block on May 4, 1946, in Davenport. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2005. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by the Davenport Fire Department for 29 years prior to his retirement and was also a registered piano tuner/technician for Griggs Music. His memberships included St. Mark Lutheran Church and Mohassan Grotto. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Diane Maxwell of Muscatine, and Timothy and Kimberly Maxwell of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly Maxwell of Madison, Wisconsin, David Maxwell of Cedar Falls and Justin Bourke of Poughkeepsie, New York.
