Joyce E. Shuger MOSCOW, Iowa - Joyce E. Shuger, 81, of Moscow, died Monday, December 22, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport. A private family funeral service will be held. Casketbearers will be Nik McIlwain, Jason Shuger, Chuck McConnaha, Neal Rabedeaux, Bruce Rabedeaux, Brian Rabedeaux, Steve Shuger and Tim White. Interment will take place at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. A memorial has been established in her memory. Joyce was born on April 12, 1927, in Muscatine, the daughter of George and Vera Godske Oveson. She married John E. Shuger on March 26, 1946, in Oakland, California. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1964. She graduated from Wilton High School. She worked at S amp; R Publishing, Trico Publishing, Daut's Jewelry and the Wilton Community Schools. She was a founding member of Wahkonsa Country Club and was an avid golfer. Her passions were family and friends. She loved bringing them together with good food and conversation.
