MARK LA PLANT MUSCATINE, Iowa - Mark K. LaPlant, 46, of Bunker, Missouri, died Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Unity Hospital. Services will be at a later date in Missouri. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is helping with the local arrangements. Burial will be Greeley Cemetery, in Bunker, Missouri. Mark was born on November 4, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Oby and Sandy Neals LaPlant. He married Holly R. Sywassink on October 9, 1998, in Bunker, Missouri. He worked as a mechanic maintenance worker in the lead mines. He was a member of the Masons. Survivors include his wife, Holly LaPlant of Bunker, Missouri; three sons, Cole LaPlant of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tyler LaPlant of Bunker, Missouri and Landon LaPlant of Bunker, Missouri; one daughter, Alexandria LaPlant of Bunker, Missouri; one granddaughter, Ayla LaPlant; his parents, Oby and Sandy LaPlant; two brothers, Rick LaPlant of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kevin LaPlant of Fredericktown, Missouri; and two sisters, Jennie Wurm of Fenton, Missouri, and Susan LaPlant of Fredericktown, Missouri.
