STEVEN L. LANGSTAFF DAVENPORT, Iowa - Steven L. Langstaff, 67, of Davenport, Iowa, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Davenport. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Columbus City Cemetery with a luncheon to follow from 10:30 until 2:00 P.M. at the Columbus Junction Methodist Church. A memorial gathering of Steven's family and friends will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge, Davenport. A memorial fund in Steven's name will be established. Steven was born in 1941 in Muscatine, to Warren 'Snooks' and Jean Hanft Langstaff. He married Charlotte Wolford on February 23, 1974 in Columbus Junction, Iowa. A 1959 graduate of Columbus Junction High School, he worked for Rath Packing in Columbus Junction for 20 years until it's closing. In 1995, he and his family moved to Davenport. He then worked in Building Supply Sales until his retirement in 2008. Following his retirement, and at the time of his death, he worked at Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. e his wife, Charlotte Langstaff of Davenport; son, Troy Wilken of Davenport; daughter, Cindy Bixby and husband, David, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; granddaughter, Marissa Bixby; and brothers, Dean Langstaff and wife, Molly, of Iowa City, and Gene Langstaff and wife, Sue, of Wapello. He was preceded in death by his father in 1996, his mother in 2005, and an infant grandson, Dalton Bixby in May of 1999.
