George David Wilson Jr. BEARDSTOWN, Illinois - George David Wilson Jr., 64, Beardstown, died on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at home. Memorials may be made to Guthrie-Pierce VFW Post No. 1239 in Beardstown. George was born on July 21, 1944, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the son of George David and Virginia Ruth Quin Wilson Sr. He married Sandra Kay Duckwiler on October 15, 1965, in Beardstown. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2004. He graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1962 and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from July 1965 until May 1967. He was a member of Guthrie-Pierce VFW Post in Beardstown and the VFW Post in Havana. He was formerly employed with Purina and later Oscar Mayer both in Beardstown and then with KLLM Trucking and Sharkey Transportation. He enjoyed attending events at both VFW Posts in Beardstown and Havana, hunting, fishing, visiting and teasing his grandchildren.
