ere welcomed with a warm hug, an ear to listen, mentorship for learning and plenty of favorite snacks. She was affectionately known as Gram to anyone who walked through the door. Nita's strong Christian faith was the guiding light in all aspects of her life. It was the guiding principle in how she raised her children, treated her friends and contributed in her church and community. Nita is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dixon, their children; Dixon Marshall Jr., Paula Marshall, William Smith, William Marshall, Sandy and Carl Mitchell, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and her sister Marcy Anderberg. She will be dearly miss, but we know she is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 5th at 2:00pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Snohomish, WA. There will be a half hour viewing preceding the service at 1:15pm and a reception will follow the service where friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating Nita's life.
