Otilda Tillie Timmsen WILTON, Iowa - Otilda Tillie Timmsen, 89, of Wilton, died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at her home in Wilton, surrounded by her family. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. Reverend Joshua Reimche will officiate. Serving as casket bearers will be her grandchildren, Joseph Timmsen, Daniel Timmsen, Christopher Timmsen, Tiffany Orosco, David Timmsen, Kate Huston, Britt Marolf, Nicklaus Marolf and Megan Marolf. Interment will be at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the church, with visitation one hour prior to the service, church. The Bentley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial has been established in her memory. 'Tillie' was born on February 15, 1920, in Wilton, the daughter of Erick and Signe Jensen Erickson. She married Louis T. Timmsen on April 20, 1938, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2002. She graduated from Wilton High School in 1937. til their retirement in 1989. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton, where she participated in Ladies Aid, Fellowship and the Zion Quilters. She loved playing cards with her friends and family. She enjoyed traveling. She lived a life full of blessings. Her most cherished blessings were her family and friends. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Marolf and husband, Randy, of Moscow; her sons, Thomas Timmsen and wife, Suzanne, of Durant, Robert Timmsen and wife, Linda, of Wilton, and Ted Timmsen and wife, Nancee, of Wilton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and sisters, Ruth Kepart of Wilton, and Ruby Arnold of Coralville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Hans, Einer and Alfred Erickson and her sisters, Marion Moeller and Ann Decker.
