and helped with the family business. She spent the winter months in Arizona with her sister, Hazel, for more than 34 years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, baking, sewing, playing bingo, going to the casino and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Glen Epperly and wife, Marilyn, of Muscatine, and Dennis Epperly and wife, Nelda, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Paul Askam, Laura Shoultz and husband, Matt, Brian Epperly, Ruby Ann Taylor and husband, Todd, David Askam and wife, Annette, Brian Askam, and Sandra Smith and husband, Mike; step-grandchildren Brenda Truesdale, Shelly Koenig, Ricky Ray and LeAnne Ray; 13 great-grandchildren; four nieces, Glenda, Shirley, Roberta and Karren; a sister, Hazel Baars of Grandview; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Charlotte Askam; five brothers and two sisters.
