Diana K. Lloyd DES MOINES, Iowa - Diana K. Lloyd passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeal Service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Maple Street Baptist Church, 1552 Maple St. Burial will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Davenport. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at the Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.. with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. until funeral service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for colon cancer research. Diana was born on February 10, 1944, in Centerville. She had resided in Des Moines for almost 60 years. She retired from the State of Iowa as a job placement specialist after more than 28 years of service. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She was a member of Maple Street Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church in McDonaugh, Georgia. She will be remembered as a woman who dedicated her life to serving others.
