ROSEMARY MANJOINE MUSCATINE, Iowa - Rosemary Manjoine, 91, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at her home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the St. Mathias Church, 215 West Eighth Street. The Reverend Jason Crossen of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. Honorary bearers will be her granddaughters, Angela Hunter, Annette Shaaban, Amy Milder, Rebecca Blaesing, Jennifer Rachac, and Antoinette Peck. Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Todd Harfst, John O'Connor, Joe P. Manjoine, Nicholas Manjoine, Michael Manjoine, Gregory Manjoine, Jeffrey Manjoine, Christopher Manjoine, Steven Harfst, and Michael Harfst. Entombment will be in the Manjoine Mausoleum at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Unity Home Health Care or Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. n March 1, 1987. She was a member of the St. Mathias Church, Herb Pals, and the Ladies of the Moose, and a past member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Joan of Arc Court 524. She was an avid outdoors person, enjoying hunting and fishing. She was a fabulous cook, a St. Louis Cardinals fan and truly loved spending time with her family. Those left to honor her memory include two sons, Joseph M. Manjoine and wife, Mary, of Muscatine, and John P. Manjoine and wife, Sherri, of Muscatine; three daughters, Mary Joan O'Connor and husband, James, of Iowa City, Loretta Blaesing and husband, Theodore, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Christine Harfst and husband, Steven, of Muscatine; 16 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers.
