Sandra 'Sammy' Lynn Lenard CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Sandra Sammy Lynn Lenard, 48, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at her home following complicated and multiple heart issues. Memorial Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the New Hope United Methodist Church, 3215 Tipton Road, Muscatine. Memorials may be directed to the family. The Teahen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements 'Sammy' was born on April 6, 1961, in Iowa City. George and Cheryl Van Dyke adopted her in 1973. She married Rance Lenard on July 29, 1987, in Shelby County, Tennessee. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed gardening especially roses, listening to Bette Midler, talking and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Rance Lenard of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Valery Bracker of Omaha, Nebraska, and Stephanie Bracker-Reggelsen; two grandchildren, Kai and Emaleth Reggelsen, all of Davenport; her parents, George and Cheryl Van Dyke of Nichols; two sisters, Patty Green of Muscatine and Viki Martinez of Conesville; four brothers, Dennis S...[more]
