CLARENCE DREYER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Clarence E. Dreyer, 89, of Muscatine, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at his home. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rushville, Nebraska. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Rushville, Nebraska. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Church. Memorials may be made to Iowa Hospice or the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rushville, or the Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is assisting the Dreyer family with arrangements. Clarence was born on August 11, 1919, in Hot Springs, South Dakota, the son of Carl and Emma Kneuppel Dreyer. He married Doris Ulrich on August 27, 1947, in Rushville, Nebraska. He worked as a maintenance painter at HJ Heinz Company retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine and the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rushville, Nebraska. He loved gardening and fishing. Kathy Wheeler and husband, Everett, of Muscatine; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Elmer Dryer of Wilber, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harold, Richard and Ralph Dreyer; and two great-granddaughters, Rehanna and Breanna Wheeler.
