SUSAN HIPSHUR MUSCATINE, Iowa - Susan M. Hipshur, 59, of Muscatine, died Monday, July 13, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, Greenwood Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Robert Hipshur Sr., Robert Hipshur Jr., Max Westfall, Daryl Westfall, Mike Burns Jr. and Joey Volkl. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Herman Hipshur Jr. Susan was born on August 30, 1949, in Muscatine, the daughter of Henry and Darlene Strong Burhop. She married Herman Hipshur Jr. on July 24, 1974, in Muscatine. She was of Baptist faith. She enjoyed computer games, was a Winnie the Pooh collector, going to the gambling boats, and enjoyed her family. Survivors include her husband, Herman Hipshur Jr. of Muscatine; two daughters, Malisa Hipshur of Muscatine, and Malinda Burns and husband, Michael Burns Jr., of Muscatine; two step-sons, Robert Hipshur Sr. and wife, Denise, of Lockport, Illinois, and Steven Tazelaar of Braidwood, Illinois; two step-daug...[more]
